Tor des Géants - Il Giro dei Giganti

Una gara lungo le Alte Vie della Valle d’Aosta.Un anello capace di abbracciare tutta la regione, al cospetto delle montagne più alte delle Alpi.Un percorso tra “giganti” come il monte Bianco, il Monte Rosa, il Gran Paradiso, il Cervino. Ma anche un percorso “per” giganti. Perchè decidere di imbarcarsi in questa avventura - comunque la si voglia affrontare - oltre all’allenamento richiede grande forza interiore e grande capacità di sopportazione. Di qui il nome: Tor des Géants. Non è francese e non è italiano, ma patois. Per ribadire la forte identità locale di quella che non è solo una competizione: ma un’esperienza di vita.

A race run along the two Alte Vie routes in Valle d’Aosta, embracing the whole region, at the foot of the giants of the Alps: Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, the Gran Paradiso and the Matterhorn. «This is a route OF giants and FOR giants», she points out, because anyone intending to embark upon an enterprise such as this – whatever the spirit they intend to tackle it with – requires more than just training: this is an adventure that takes great inner strength and staying power. Hence the name, Tor des Géants: neither French nor Italian, but patois, symbolising the strong local identity of this project, which the Region welcomed with open arms.
